Yesterday I was chatting up the staff of FIG Bike Daikanyama and they told me that the guys from Surly would be visiting Japan the next day and would be going on a group ride starting from Harajuku. Being the diehard Surly fan I am, I had to come along.

Spotted some wild Franken-Bikes at Autocraft Izu, while I was down in Shuzenji for Cycling Jam (COG Magazine coverage of Cycling Jam). You have to give these guys credit for creativity.
This past Golden Week I road my fixie from Tokyo (really Yokohama) to Osaka. It took 5 days, and was a great ride. I met a lot of unique people and saw a bunch of cities that I had never been too before.
